Caminantes Group's story

The communal bank Caminantes has organized to ask for a loan. This is its first cycle and its president is Mrs. Vanessa Q.. This communal bank belongs to the Santiago II center and has eight members. Vanessa has a business selling food mornings and evenings on the highway that links the cities of La Paz and El Alto. When she sells at night the father of her only child accompanies her. At midday she sells food in the area of Villa Dolores. She asked for a loan of Bs.2000, which will allow her to buy groceries and other goods that she needs. When she was asked if she has been to the health center she answered that yes and they attended to her very well. The members of the communal bank have businesses such as preparing food, and selling perfume, groceries, comforters, popcorn and ice cream.
