A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase shoes.

Monica's story

Mónica is 40 years old and a hard-working mother who lives in her own house with her husband and child. The activity that Mónica dedicates herself to on a daily basis is the sale of shoes manufactured in the city of Trujillo, an area known for the excellent quality of its footwear. In the winter, she sells boots, and in summer, sandals. These are made of leather, a material that is in great demand by customers, who willingly pay the asking prices for this type of product. What she enjoys most about her work is the fact that it is profitable. She has been in business for 15 years, even though she has to travel to Trujillo to buy her merchandise. In the future, she hopes to buy a store and provide a better standard of living for her family. This is her eleventh loan with MFP, and she knows that the funds will be very useful toward augmenting her working capital. She commits to make her loan payments on time. She will use the loan she is requesting to buy more shoes at wholesale, given she has several orders to fill.
