A loan helped to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to improve her farm production, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gladys's story

Gladys is a 29-year-old mother of two children who is determined to paint a beautiful picture of her future. She lives in Siongiroi, a town that hosts a number of elite athletes in Kenya. She is a mixed farmer with 14 years of farming experience. Through farming, Gladys has turned her life around.

The major impediment to the development of small-hold farms in Kenya is the lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya through financing, therefore guaranteeing their survival. Gladys is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to improve her farm production, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kindly support Gladys in the second quarter of 2021.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
