A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase merchandise for her grocery store and bookstore.

Cristina Gregoria's story

Señora Cristina has been working with Emprender since 2004 and is a standing client. Previously, she worked with the communal bank Cistalinos. Currently, Señora Cristina is self -employed. She runs a grocery store and a bookstore/bazaar. She lives with her husband and her two nephews, for whom she is responsible. She will use the loan to increase the amount of merchandise in both her stores with items such as noodles, sugar, soft drinks and candy, and in the bookstore with items such as paper, books, cards, pencils, pens, markers, etc., so that her store is well-stocked. Señora Cristina is a very hard-working person and is responsible with her payments. She is very grateful to Emprender and Kiva for the trust shown by granting her a loan.
