A loan of $1,200 helped buy pigs and concentrated feed.

Rosa Emma's story

Rosa, age 38, lives in the Corinto municipality in the Morazán department. She is married, and she lives with her husband and their only child, 14 year old Kenia. Rosa takes care of and feeds cattle and pigs to sell. Her parents taught her this traD.. Everyday she travels three kilometers to the pasture for the livestock. Her work day starts at 6:00 a.m. She milks the cows and then feeds the livestock. She is requesting a loan to buy pigs and concentrated feed in order to take care of them and to feed them. Then she will sell them when they are ready. Rosa’s dreams are to continue with her business of buying and selling livestock, to help her husband with the farming, to have financial stability, to support her children’s education, and to improve the family’s quality of life.
