A loan helped to buy pullets and their feed.

Valérie's story

Valérie is a 46 years old separated woman with three children, one of which one is adult. The family lives on the edge of town. To make an income, she raises broiler chickens. She sells them to resellers.

She makes enough money to cover the family needs. Since she has been borrpwing from Vahatra, she has been able to enlarge her business gradually with the number of chickens to raise. She strives to make savings as she wants to convert her terra cotta house into a brick one later on. She also takes loans to pay school fees.

Valerie is taking this loan to be able to buy pullets and their feed. She hopes for the support of Kiva lenders. She hopes to make enough profit to increase her savings.
