Martha Maria's story

Martha María is 41 years old. She lives in San Miguel and is a single mother of two children, aged 6 and 7. She sells hotdogs as a street vendor.

She is from Nicaragua and immigrated with the dream of staring her own business and to send money to her parents who live in her native country. She sells hotdogs as as a street vendor in a cargo bike. She travels the streets of San Miguel to get better sales. She is asking for a loan to invest in purchasing two bicycles and raw material to make hotdogs (hotdog buns, ketchup, mayonnaise). This will help to improve her business and generate work.

Her aspirations are to improve her parents' quality of life, since they depend on her financially, and for her children to be able to go to school so they can have better opportunities in life.
