A loan of $1,075 helps to buy milk.

Luis's story

Luis is 27 years old. He is a hard-working and responsible person.

Two years ago, he decided to collect and process a small quantity of milk. He bought 20 or 50 liters twice or three times a week from a small cattle breeder in the area. He processed the milk to get curd and cream for his own consumption, selling everything he did not consume himself to his neighbors.

With time, his business grew: his orders increased and also the quantity of milk processed. Now, he collects 200 liters per day, working from Monday through Sunday.

He requests a loan with Fundenuse, together with Kiva, to buy more milk.

In the future, he wants to buy a skimming machine to accelerate the processing of the cream.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Matteo Modelli.

This loan is special because:

It provides young Nicaraguan entrepreneurs the financial means to grow or start their own business.
