A loan helped a member to invest in online marketing and portable equipment.

Independência I Group's story

Edilene is a member of Independência I group. She lives in the community of Heliópolis in São Paulo. She is separated, and she is the mother of 2 children. She has been working as a hairdresser for over 20 years. It is her household's main source of income, and in the past year, due to the health emergency, she has struggled a lot to keep her business open.

Edilene commented that loans really helped her to advance, since when she started her business, she worked in her home and now she has a dedicated space for her salon.

Today, even with the health crisis, she continues to invest in her business. These funds will help her with alternatives to stay on her feet: she will invest in online marketing and portable equipment to provide services in her clients' homes.

Note: It wasn't possible to take a group photo as gatherings are being avoided during the COVID-19 pandemic.
