Mess Road Group's story

Mamusu K. sells bread. She was born in Makeni city, 38 years ago. She is married and has five children. Her husband is a businessman and four of her children are attending schools. She has been selling bread for 12 years now. With the help of this loan, she will buy bags of flour, sugar, etc., in order to produce a larger quantity of bread.

Mamusu (on the left) is the leader of this group of entrepreneurs. They are members of the “Mess Road Group" from Makeni, a city in Northern Sierra Leone. These small business owners have come to SMT, a Kiva partner, seeking a loan of 800,000 leones each. With this loan, they will be able to add more goods to their businesses, attract more customers, make more sales and profit, and consequently improve their living conditions.
