A loan of $1,125 helps to buy braids, lotions, and hair dryer.

Oliver's story

Oliver lives in Hoima, Uganda; she is married with two children. She works together with her husband growing various crops like bananas, beans, and maize for both commercial and home consumption. Oliver also operates a beauty salon, mostly making women's hair. She has been in the business for more than 12 years and testifies how the business is so lucrative and profitable.

She's happy because the previous Kiva loan helped her to make a step in her business. She hopes to grow her business more with Kiva loans. She is only challenged by inadequate capital to add in her salon and unfavourable weather conditions that affect their crops. She is requesting a loan facility to buy more braids and lotions for the salon.

This loan is special because:

It targets extremely rural populations.
