A loan helped to buy a pig to fatten.

Martin's story

Martin, age 71, is married with seven children, including six who are independent already. He lives in a semi-rural neighborhood on the outskirts of town. He owns a dirt floor house. In spite of his age, he's still active and he's been raising pigs for more than 30 years.

He would like to improve his pig farm and he needs funding. Thus, he decided to join Vahatra to strengthen his financial capital. He will fatten his livestock and resell it to the local butcher's shop. He's seeking lenders' support to buy a pig to fatten. He will use his profits to increase his savings. He plans to buy an ox later on.
