A loan of $1,075 helped buy fertilizer to improve her production.

Roxana's story

Roxanna, age 33, is a happy and hard-working mother. She lives in her own house with her 38 year old husband, Luis, and their only child, 13 year old daughter, Luz. She wants to give them a better quality of life.

Roxana’s crops can be found in the Cumutay village (Tarma district). Her products are very good, and that is why her potatoes and peas are very sought-after in the wholesale market in Tarma. That is where she sells the yield of her harvested crops. She feels that the months spent taking care of her crops are giving the hoped for results.

She has been doing this activity for 19 years. She considers the hardest part to be taking care of her crops so that the pests do not affect production. In time she hopes to get more land in order to grow more.

This is her seventh loan with MFP. She has always been punctual making her payments, and she is prepared to do so now as well.

In her communal bank she is a very happy person, and she is always joking around with her colleagues. She will use the requested 3,000 soles to buy fertilizer to improve productivity in her fields.
