16 De Agosto Group's story

This communal bank 16 de Agosto has been formed to seek a loan. This is the group's first loan cycle. Their president is Valentina P. Y.. The communal group belongs to the Centro Focal de Panamericana. Señora Valentina knits woollen hats for the women in the highlands (Andes), greatly used at the moment in wintertime as the temperatures drop to between 2 - 5 degrees centigrade in the morning and at sunset (including some areas that don't receive sun during the day).

Doña Valentina lives with her partner and has 3 small children - for this reason she works hard in her business. The members of this communal bank have businesses such as making woollen jumpers, selling ponchos and footwear, selling toasted broadbeans, rugs, sweets, food and condiments.

In this group: Valentina, Modesta, Elena Flora, Lidia Ruperta, Natividad Estefania, Navi Aleida, Severina, Hilda, Celia Maria
