A loan of $200 helped to buy stock grocery items for her store that's in her home.

María Guadalupe's story

María Guadalupe, 28, is a mother who lives with her husband and three children in the San Pablo sector, a rural area of Pomalca district. Her main economic activity is farming, cattle raising and handicrafts.

For the last year she has had a grocery store set up in her home. She offers her neighbors basic need items that are hard to find in her area. This has brought her regular customers that always come to her store. In addition, she raises small farm animals to sell to her neighbors. Income she earns helps her husband, who is employed as a laborer in a brick factory, to support the family.

María would like to expand her business buying more groceries so that a greater variety of stock will produce higher sales. For this reason, she has called upon Edpyme Alternativa for the first time to request a 500 new sol loan.

María is a kind and helpful woman. Her neighbors and acquaintances hold her in high regard and respect.
