A loan of $1,450 helps to buy tables, chairs, roofing iron, timber, plywood, and tiles.

Alumeci's story

Alumeci is grateful to be one of the successful recipients that was given a grant. Selling kava has been one of her sources of income for the family to finance her children going to school.

Now, she wants to expand her business by opening a kava bar. The bar will consist of tables to serve kava beverages for customers to enjoy. This idea came upon her when she saw how her friend was running a business successfully in her village; hence, Alumeci wishes to implement the same idea.

She insists on obtaining another loan to be able to expand her business. With the money needed, Alumeci will be able to buy tables, chairs, and other building materials to complete the space setup for people to shelter in.

Alumeci has confidence knowing that this business will flourish thereafter.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
