A loan helped to buy supplies to make tortillas, and to buy a stove with a built-in griddle.

Alba Nelis's story

Alba is in a common-law marriage and has a 10 year-old son. She lives with her partner, her son, and her mother-in-law. She has only one dependent, and does not have relatives living outside the country.

Alba has had a business making tortillas to sell for a year. She learned this business with the help of one of her friends. She works from 6am until 5pm. One of the advantages of her business is that she already has a lot of customers who prefer her business.

Alba is requesting a loan to invest in her business. She will use these funds to buy corn and lime. Having these raw materials on hand will give her tortilla business a boost. She will also use the funds to buy a stove that has a built-in griddle. This will increase her productivity.

Alba hopes to keep her business running and get a place where she could set up a shop. This way, she could increase her earnings, and improve her family's living conditions.
