Maria Imelda's story

María is 37 years old and lives in Cantón Amate a village in the municipality of Santa Elena in the Usulután department. She is married and lives with her husband and her children, 13, 7, and 5 respectively. She has a small general store named The Sacred Heart of Jesus Store. She started the store herself; she works alongsiD. her husband and their eldest daughter. They don't have set hours at the store. They are a hardworking family and they are currently applying for a loan to invest in products for their store like oil, rice, beans, cornmeal, and other products their clients want. With more inventory sales will increase. The only risk is if sales are not good. María's dream is to have two larger businesses that will allow her to give her family a decent life and support her children's education so that they can have a better future.
