03_Boucotte Centre Group's story

This group is made up of two women who have a strong relationship and live in the same locality. They seized the opportunity to join this women's group when it was created in July 2002. They are mainly involved in the trade of various products.

Montang, who is on the right in the photo with her hand raised, is the group's leader. She is married, 67 years old and mother of five children.

She has been making fabrics and selling fruit for several years. With this loan, she plans to purchase more supplies that she will sell at the local market.

She will use the profits to help her husband with daily expenses as well as school and medical expenses for the children. They will also build up savings.

In this group: Montang, Ramatoulaye
