A loan of $3,725 helps a member to buy various vegetables.

03_Boucotte Nassinkar Group's story

This group is composed of five women who have strong relationships and live in the same neighbourhood. They seized the opportunity to join the women's group when it was established in June 2001. They mainly work in the trade of various products.

Nene, pictured here, is the group's representative. She is a widow, 57 years old, and the mother of four school-going children. She has been in the vegetable business for several years.

With this loan, she plans to increase the quantity of her supplies, which she will sell at her local market. The profits will be used to cover daily expenses and also for the education and health of the children.

NB: Because of the pandemic, only one woman was photographed in order to respect the physical distancing required by the local authority.

In this group: Ramatoulaye , Absa, Nene, Mariama, Saly
