A loan of $500 helps to buy taro roots (seedling), banana tube (seedling), chemicals, bag back sprayer, and chainsaw.

Onolina's story

Onolina is a 56-year-old married woman with four children. She runs a business selling taro and banana in her community to earn a living. She has 4 years of experience with this business. Onolina works very hard to please her customers with her fresh taro and banana. She thought she will earn more income if she plants more banana and taro, but in order to do this, Onolina needs a loan to buy taro roots (seedling), banana tube (seedling), chemicals, bag back sprayer, and chainsaw, to help her run the business.

She even delivers her products to the flea market by using the bus (transportation). She comes from a family in which no one works to earn a living, so only her business will help her family needs. Her dream is that one day her family will be in a great living standard. She became a member of SPBD in 2021 to seek finance for her business. Onolina realized that your support will be a big help for her and her family to develop through financing.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
