A loan of $1,525 helps to buy spark plugs, rubber seals, brake fluid, multi-use aerosoles, etc.

Katty Belin's story

Katty Belin and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now also by the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is rich in horticultural production, such as vegetables and tropical fruits for internal consumption. Katty Belin, together with her husband, runs an automotive shop where her husband makes repairs and maintains vehicles brought by customers while Katty sells parts and runs the business, which is family owned.

They work from Monday to Saturday 8 hours each day and at times a bit longer when they have cars that need repairs. What they sell the most are engine oils, brake fluid, rubber seals, spark plugs, bolts, and other items. The need for social isolation at first had them without work out of fear for contagion and due to restrictions, but now they are able to offer services while following safety protocols. This credit will be used to buy spark plugs, rubber seals, brake fluid, multi-use aerosoles, etc. Her dream is to have a larger garage and that her family will not get sick with COVID-19.
