A loan helped a member to buy animals for re-sale in order to take care of her family's needs.

Sanya Group's story

Flassoum is a married woman aged 52 years living in a rural village in Mali with her farmer husband and their 4 children, one of whom goes to school. The children are aged betweek 2 and 15 years. She is ambitious to take charge of the well being of her children and for her household to flourish. Because of COVID she is alone on the photo.

Due to a lack of means, she is requesting financial support from the RMCR so that she can grow her stock fattening activity. Flassoum buys her stocks at the local market and sells at the weekly market for cash. The loan will allow her to develop her stock fattening activity and facilitate purchasing the stocks. Sheep and goat fattening is profitable as her forecast profit is estimated to be 10 000 Francs CFA per month.

With her experience of 5 years in the activity, she is often faced with epizootic disease and the high cost of animal feed.
