Lomachata Group's story

Orlando is a young farmer who is 31 years of age and in a relationship. He is a father of two children. Orlando is requesting a Kiva loan from FUNDENUSE for the first time and will use the funds to buy fertilizers, fungicides, foliar nutrients, and other supplies to maintain his coffee. In addition to growing coffee, he cultivates basic staple crops such as corn and beans. During the period between November and January, he sells new clothes as a traveling vendor. His plans for the future include improving his farm and his crops.

Orlando is a member of the solidarity group “Lomachata” along with Félix, Heliodoro, and Jacqueling, who also work in agriculture.
