A loan helped a member to buy salted fish and boost her initial capital.

La Victoire Bujovu Group's story

Mme Maisha is a client with MFI Hekima and the president of village group Victoire Bujovu. She is 31 years old, married and the mother of six children, including five attending school. Her husband is a farmer.
She sells fish, a business she started 9 years ago with seed money from her field. Subsequently, she turned to Hekima to support her business which developed gradually. With this new loan, she will purchase salted fish, which will boost her initial capital. Her business challenges are due to a lack of customers.
She would like to build a house and for her children to continue their education. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for their support to non bankable business owners in this crisis linked to Covid-19. Only the leader of the group is pictures, due to Covid-19 and to observe social distancing.
