A loan of $900 helped to buy purebred animals and materials to enlarge her shed.

Betty's story

Betty is 20 years old. She lives in her parents' house. For 2 years, she has owned a farm where she raises animals, among them guinea pigs and chickens. She began this business on the recommendation of her parents and since then she has worked doing the feeding and cleaning at the farm. During the morning she goes out to cut alfalfa which serves as forrage for the animals. Afterwards, she ends the day by cleaning out the sheds, where she extracts the excrement, using it as fertilizer for her plants. When the weekend comes, she goes out to sell her animals, and in this way she has been able to obtain good profit. The goal that she has proposed is enlarging her farm. This is her second loan with MFP and she is very happy to know that she has a financial support since she has always shown herself to be responsible with her payments. She also likes being part of a community group because all of the members are responsible and very supportive. She will use the laon she is asking for to buy more purebred animals, as well as materials to enlarge her shed.
