A loan of $325 helped to buy equipment and other needs for the shop like accessories and repair needs.

Ofelia's story

Ofelia D., 58, is making sure that her family has adequate provision for their daily needs. She is married to Ferdinand D. and they are blessed with a child in their marriage. She makes sure that she helps her husband earn so that their family can have a better life. She has been managing her own computer shop for the past few years now.

Ofelia has been a regular member of Center for Community Transformation (CCT) for more than a year now. She regularly attends its weekly fellowship meetings* and pays her weekly dues consistently. Because of her good repayment performance with her previous loans, she was able to borrow quite a few times from CCT’s cooperative. She is consistent in paying her dues because she used the money she borrowed to expand and improve her computer shop.

To ensure the success of her business, Ofelia would like to apply for a PHP 14,000 loan. This amount will be used as a source of added capital for her expanding business by buying equipment and other needs for the shop like accessories and repair needs.

Ofelia dreams that her business will continue to grow so that she can finally have her own house sitting on her own lot and also own a vehicle.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of fifteen to thirty community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay micro-finance loans.
