Los Pioneros De Iribamba Group's story

"Los Pioneros de Iribamba" is a communal bank including 13 members and led by Pricila, who is the president and representative of the communal bank. They are in their fourth cycle, and are happy to be making progress. The group has a board of directors; in the photo are the president, treasurer, and secretary.

Pricila, age 44, is an enterprising woman, responsible and very hard working. She feels young, with desires to continue getting ahead, for the well-being of her two children, ages 13 and 9 years.

For many years, she has worked in agriculture, growing cacao, coffee, and other fruit trees, depending upon the season. She always is seeking to improve her productivity to generate better income, with her partner.

She requests a loan to buy mulch and to pay laborers to do the work of maintaining her field of organic cacao, clearing and cutting out the weeds, in order to have better productivity. She and her husband work together to improve their agricultural land.
