Emprendedores De Pan De Azúcar Group's story

Emprendedores De Pan De Azúcar is a group composed of 14 members. This is their first loan cycle and they are considered self-driven, hardworking, and honest people always seeking to improve and achieve better opportunities for their families' well-being.

The governing board is represented by Mersa. She is the president of the communal bank Emprendedores De Pan De Azúcar. As you can see in the photograph, she appears together with two other representatives who also have positions as treasurer and secretary. They lead the group and are its representatives.

Mersa is 32 years old. She is a self-motivated, hardworking, and home-loving woman. She has two children, a 14-year-old boy and an 8-year-old little girl, who are her inspiration to continue moving forward. Her partner works in the fields like Mersa does. Both are day laborers on other plots of land and harvest cacao and barbasco as their main occupation.

They pick and produce cacao, but they are always looking to diversify, and harvest cacao, coffee, barbasco, citrus fruit, and more, depending on the season.

At this time, Mersa is requesting a loan through Kiva to provide upkeep for her farming plot to have a better cacao production. She wants to continue offering quality products to her customers and be known as the best farmer.

She is saving to buy agricultural land as well as to expand her production and, in the future, diversify her farming plot.

In this group: William, Mersa Neria, Jhon, Maria Rosa, Nora, Zulma, Zenaida, Bertha, Erick Emerson, Josue, Lisbeth, Dianet, Wilian, Renso
