Mrs. Yeoun Sorn Village Bank Group's story

In Sdau Kanlaeng village, located in Kandal province, there is a group of twenty-one people who make up this village bank loan. Mrs. Yeoun S., who was born in 1971, has been chosen village bank president by the other members. The individuals in the group will use their portion of the loan for different purposes.

Mrs. Yeoun S. is a housewife who cooks delicious food for her family while her husband, Mr. Savuth Koem, is a construction worker who is able to earn a low salary to support his family. The couple has a problem because their motorbike is broken. To improve their family living conditions, Mrs. Yeoun S. is asking for a loan to buy a new motorbike to replace this old one. She is a mother of three children; one of whom is a seamstress in a garment factory, the second is attending the local public school, and the third is too small to work or study.
