A loan helped to buy construction supply to complete the renovation her old home.

Sokea's story

Sokea, aged 30, is from a rural village of Prey Kabbas District, Takeo Province. She has been working in construction for more than three years and also works as a paid laborer to earn additional income. She has a common law relationship with her husband, who is a loving father of two children. Her husband works in construction as well. Sokea and her husband work very hard every day at the construction site with the regular duties of a construction laborer include transporting materials and work more than eight hours per day to make sure that their family has enough food. The photograph is of her and her husband.

Currently, Sokea's roof needs repair, and her family is suffering because of poor weather, like rain. Though her house is under construction, she needs more materials to have it finished. She is therefore asking for a loan to buy construction supplies to complete the renovation her old home. She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions. Sokea thanks all lenders for helping poor people like her to improve her family's standard of living.
