Pongsri's story

Pongsri is a married woman living with her husband, daughter, and son in the northeastern region of Thailand. Basically, her family makes a living by cultivating a rice farm and raising pigs.

In the area, eating pork is prevalent, so she has seen opportunity to increase more income. Then, she applied for the Kiva loan to buy piglets, pig feed, and materials for expanding pig pen.

The loan will encourage her to have sufficient capital for spending in the business as well as support her to have materials for improving the pig pen. In the future, she dreams to develop and sustain this business.
