A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase milk sales.

Kenjegul's story

This beautiful woman is Kenjegul. She is 51 years old, married, and all of her children are of age. She has a secondary education and is a empathetic and kind person. To provide the primary income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming since 2007. Thanks to Kenjegul's hard work and her husband's help with the business, today her farm contains two cows, 15 sheep and 1.8 hectares of land, where she grows organic beans. She has a contract with a local plant to supply organic milk for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to constantly invest in her agricultural business. Having learned that she could obtain a loan under the "value-added chain" program from the Bai Tushum Bank using her milk plant contract delivery as a collateral, she requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase milk sales. Payments from the plant will be directly deposited to Kenjegul's bank account while loan repayments will be automatically debited. Profit from the loan will aid with future business development.
