A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase milk sales.

Akylai's story

The name of this beautiful woman is Akylai. She is 30 years old, married, and all of her children are under age. She has a secondary education and is a empathetic and kind person. To provide the primary income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming since 2005. Thanks to Akylai's hard work and her husband's help with the business, today her farm contains eight cows, 31 sheep, two horses and 2.03 hectares of land, where she grows organic clover. She has a contract with a local plant to supply organic milk for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to constantly invest in her agricultural business. Having learned that she can obtain a loan under the "value-added chain" program from the Bai Tushum Bank, using her future milk plant delivery as a collateral, she requested a loan in the amount of 200,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase milk sales. Payments from the plant will be directly deposited to Akylai's bank account while loan repayments will be automatically debited. The profit from the loan will help with future business development.
