Mr. Houy Um Village Bank Group's story

Nineteen people who live in Khsom village in Kandal province make up this village bank loan. Mr. Houy U., who was born in 1954, is the village bank president, selected by the other members. Each member will use their loan for a different purpose.

Mr. Houy U. is a fisherman who is able to earn some money to support his family. His wife, Mrs. Lou Ork, is a housewife who makes some delicious food for her family.

Now Mr. Houy U. has a problem because his fishing supplies are too little to use. So, to improve his fishing, he is applying for a loan to buy more fishing supplies to use. He will use the rest of his loan to buy soil and zinc to build a place to conduct motorbike repairs to start a new business.

Mr. Houy U. is the father of six children, two of whom are seamstresses in a garment factory while the others are attending the local public school.
