Meet Imelianito!

Imelianito is a member of the indigenous community of Puerto Lara, a town inhabited by the Embera-Wounaan tribe that keeps and protects their traditional culture and culture.

Despite his mobility disability, he is a passionate entrepreneur that has always been interested in learning, business and the role of entrepreneurs in society. Imelianito started over eight years ago, a small convenience store that has converted into one of the main retail stores in the community and the main supplier of food, cleaning products, snacks, school supplies and also distributes natural gas tanks for cooking to the inhabitants of Puerto Lara.


Imelianito is business-oriented, known for his tenacity and is a leader in his community. Today, he is asking for a loan to buy inventory for his store and recover from the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
