Brigette's story

Brigette P. is a 33-year-old married woman who supports her family through her general store business. She lives in Brgy Lakawon, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental with her husband and their two children.

She has been a member of NWTF-Project Dungganon since 2007 and has improved her family's living conditions with the help of her loans from NWTF and through her own efforts. By working hard in her general store business, she is gradually making her family more economically stable. She now earns an average monthly income of 8,000 Philippine pesos (PHP).

Brigette is now borrowing 20,000 PHP to have additional working capital for her general store. Her previous loan of 15,000 PHP, which she paid off well within its term, was just another step in her journey towards economic freedom. Brigette aspires to elevate her family’s living conditions and ensure their future well being by following the “Dungganon” way.
