Mr. Vong Ven Village Bank Group's story

This village bank loan has twenty-one people located in Krapeu Troum village in Kandal province. They will each use their loan to improve their business in this current year. Mr. V. V., who was born in 1955, has been selected as the village bank president.

Mr. V. V. and his wife, Mrs. Ken Lors, are farmers who own a one-hectare (2.5-acre) plot of land they use to cultivate rice, not to sell, but to raise their family. But now they have a problem because it’s time to grow a crop but they don’t have enough money to support it. So, to improve production, Mr. V. V. is asking for a loan with which to farm this year.

This couple raises seV. children, five of whom are seamstresses in a garment factory while the others are helping their parents to farm.
