A loan of $1,800 helps to repair her home and restocking her canteen business.

Setaita's story

What was once an income generating business for the people of Nabouwalu, has now become a necessity as the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone has limited movements and resources. Setaita's canteen business is now somewhat an essential service in supplying the needs of the villagers as relief foods is not in consistent supply.

However, Setaita needs a loan to repair her home in order to serve her customers. She has to buy construction items, and also the stocks of groceries and fuels to continue her business. Setaita also hopes to add cyclone ready kits in her stocks to ensure that her community is well equipped in the case of another natural disaster.

Setaita is enthusiastic about her future and knows that sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.
