Griselda Carolina's story

Griselda Carolina T. D. O. is 39 years old. She is a hard-working entrepreneurial woman. She wants to improve her business, because she has an enormous desire to increase her income in order to benefit her household.

Griselda lives in Zacatecoluca, which is located in La Paz. She lives there together with her husband, with whom she runs a bakery. In their bakery, they make all different types of sweet breads like cupcakes, cookies, and others. Sweet bread is a very typical Bolivian food. Traditionally, it is eaten every afternoon with coffee, which makes local bakeries very profitable and stable. It is a particularly strong business in Griselda's case, as hers is be the only bakery in her area.

Griselda has asked for a loan with the hopes of being able to buy all the necessary materials to make bread, like mixers, spare oven parts, flour, sugar, yeast, and other products. Griselda has worked very hard with her husband for the past five years to get ahead in life and be able to attend all their customers well. After so many years in the business, Griselda has a lot of customers, which is why she wants more materials needed to improve her bakery's production.
