Michelle's story

Michelle A. is from the town of Trinidad. She is 21 years old. Michelle is married and has a 5-year-old child. To make a living, Michelle owns & operates a fishing business, operating a fishing boat to catch and sell assorted fish at the market. Michelle has been engaged in her business for over 10 years.

Michelle joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. Michelle has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Michelle is requesting a new loan of 11000 PHP which will be used to invest in expanding the business. This will be the fifth loan taken out by Michelle from CEVI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the family's income.
