Mamie's story

This is 27- year-old Mamie, from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with two kids whose and ages are five and 10 years. Both of her children are in school and live at home.

Mamie attended school up to 12th grade. She is a strong businesswoman who sells drinks, bags, cook spoons, dishes, and tubs. She has been operating her sales for several years now. Her mother taught her how to sell. Mamie uses car to transport supplies to her business site and sells 10 hours daily. She likes her business because sales are fast.

To maintain her sales, Mamie requested a loan through BRAC Liberia and Kiva Field Partner. This loan will be used to buy more drinks, bags, cook spoons, dishes, and tubs to sell in order to repay her loan installment and increase her income.

Mamie dream for the future is to give her children a good education. She wishes to say thanks.
