John's Group's story

Pictured above is John, who is often described as an extremely trustworthy person. He is 45 years old and has 5 children. As a group leader, he is representing 5 farmers in Alego District, Kenya.

John is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again because this means that he is able to earn enough to feed his family, which is why he decided to join in the first place. John says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2018, he has been able to consistently feed his family, which has improved his day-to-day life significantly. John will use the profits from this season to save more money for the future.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant 2.75 acres.

In this group: John, Matha, Margaret, Hellen, Claris

This loan is special because:

It supports smallholder farmers to purchase seeds and solar lanterns.
