A loan of $2,375 helps to purchase dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local factory.

Zhazgul's story

Zhazgul is 43 years old, married, and has seven children. She has a secondary education. Since 2000, she has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop cultivation for her family's main source of income. Thanks to her persistent hard work, at present her farm has five cows, ten sheep, as well as a land plot of 0.4 hectares where she grows beans. She has a contract to supply organic milk to a local factory for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to constantly invest in her farming business. After finding out that at Bai Tushum Bank, she can use her factory contract as collateral to take a loan (under the "Value Chain" scheme), she applied for a loan of 200,000 som (KGS) to purchase dairy cows in order to increase her volume of milk sales. The factory's milk payments will be directly deposited into Zhazgul's bank account, while her loan repayments will be automatically deducted. The funds from the loan will help her to further develop her farm.
