Su actividad económica principal de Giovanna es la venta de verduras como por ejemplo zanahorias, papas, cebollas, etc. Ella también administra la tienda de abarrotes de su mama Fidelia. Giovanna participa en el banco comunal y le va muy bien porque es una persona responsable y puntual al momento de pagar sus cuotas, ella requiere el préstamo para comprar más verduras.
