Filomene is a member of Hekima IMF and secretary of the group “Tuhimizane Ndosho”. She is a 53-year-old widow and the mother of seven children who all go to school.
She sells hardware and started this business in 2016 with start-up funds from her personal savings. Later on, she joined Hekima to get some support for her business and, since then, she has been gradually expanding it. With this new loan, she will purchase various items including cement, cables, varnishes, locks, etc., which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge that her business is facing is related to unpaid debts.
She would like her children to continue studying and she would also like to build a nice house. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to owners of non-bankable businesses in this context of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
The photo only includes the leader of the group because of Covid-19 restrictions and to comply with social distancing measures.
