A loan of $2,375 helps to buy dairy cows in order to increase her volume of milk sales.

Gulsunbu's story

Gulsunbu is a wonderful woman. She has the kindest eyes and is a 61-year-old widow. Her adult children live separately and she has a secondary education.

She has worked in animal husbandry and field farming since 1980 as the main source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work and the help of her children with the farm, her farm currently has 6 cows.

In order to further develop her farm, she is requesting a loan from Kiva for 200,000 KGS for the purchase of livestock in order to increase her income from breeding livestock and selling organic milk. Proceeds from the loan will help her to expand the farm by increasing the number of pedigreed dairy cows.

Translated from Russian by Kiva volunteer Lizet Pantaleon.

This loan is special because:

It supports organic farming and includes a lower interest rate.
