A loan of $2,950 helps to buy dairy cows to increase her sales of milk to a local factory.

Nurzat's story

Nurzat is 34 years old and married, with 2 sons and 2 daughters. She has a high-school education. She has been raising crops and animals since 2000 as the primary source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work, her farm currently has 7 cows, 10 sheep, 5 horses, and a 3.76-ha plot of land where she grows beans. She has a contract to supply organic milk to a local plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to continuously invest in her agriculture business.

After finding out that as part of the Value Chain offering she could get a loan at Bai-Tushum Bank secured by her contract for future shipments, she applied for a loan of 250,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows to increase her milk sales. Payments for the milk from the Plant will be transferred directly to Nurzat's bank account, and loan payments will be automatically deducted. Income from the loan will help her grow her farm further.
