A loan helped a member to buy sheep to resell to overcome his challenges.

Fasso Yiriwa Group's story

In the photo, Dramane has one hand on the sheep's horn and his other hand on its back. Due to COVID-19, he appears by himself. He is a Malian man, 32 years old, illiterate, married, and the father of five children to support. His wife is a homemaker.

To do well carrying out his work raising livestock, he turns to RMCR. He makes his purchases across the river and resells at the markets in his town and in major cities as festivals and holidays approach. He often encounters problems with poor sales at markets.

His revenues enable him to cover certain family expenses, such as family medical costs and the children’s school fees. He has a good reputation in the village.

For the future, he would like to obtain a bigger loan to purchase many head of sheep in order to increase his profit and make preparations for his children’s future.
