Saturnina's story

The city of Rayanniyoc is found a half hour from the city of Cusco, and an hour away from the city of Urubamba. The residents of the city of Rayanniyoc work in agriculture and livestock production.

Saturnina, 50, is married and has 3 children. Her main economic activity is raising small animals and selling vegetables and produce. She takes her products to the city of Cusco to the Wanchaq market each Thursday and Saturday.

Saturnina belongs to the communal bank "Villa Rayanniyoc," which is part of the Asociación Arariwa. She has already participated in this communal bank for a number of years, and it is going very well because she is a responsible person who is punctual with her payments. She needs a loan to buy animals to raise such as sheep, which cost 150 to 180 Peruvian soles. Later she fattens them to sell in the markets in the community.

Saturnina is grateful for the opportunity provided through these means, and is committed to making her payments according to the established schedule.
